The Lightstrike cushioning in these makes them feel bouncy right out of the box, and the textile upper with synthetic overlays keeps my foot locked in without any rubbing. They’re surprisingly comfortable for all-day wear, even if the black and off-white colorway isn’t the easiest to keep clean.

The Yohji signature on the ankles is a subtle touch that makes these feel special, and the Lightstrike cushioning gives a springy step right out of the box. The rubberized toe cap has already shrugged off a scuff from a curb without leaving a mark, which is exactly what I hoped for.
